As you have probably noticed this blog has been quiet for the last 10 days or so. On Tuesday, March 3 at 5 o'clock in the morning my father passed away after having suffered a severe cerebral hemmorage. He was never sick and had a rock-iron constitution so to have him leave us so suddenly has been quite a shock. At 85 he still was in terrific shape, could eat "like a horse" and loved to laugh! ...........in fact, one of the main reasons this blog even exists was to keep him "on board" with us through all our sailing adventures.............he loved the water and sailing...........
I find myself at a loss for words right now (who would've thunk it, huh?) but I wanted to share this picture of him on his Hobie 17 competing in the H-17 Continentals in '94 at 70 years young........ We'll miss him.

Jon and I just want to express our thoughts and hope that both of you can get on with your journey knowing that your father was very proud of your sailing adventures and how your family loved sailing. We are always looking forward to reading all the new adventures you two are having out there and are very glad that you started this for him because it always makes our day to read a new log. So thank you and know we are thinking of you. The Libbys
